Three groups of Ball State University students with the Urban landscape and Architecture Program presented their ideas and concepts for One Chamber Square and the surrounding areas Monday night at the Jackson County Visitor Center. They visited Seymour months earlier and spent 3 days, visiting downtown business owners, walking the streets and alleys, and talking to local officials and stakeholders.
The concepts involved everything from activated alley ways, outdoor seating areas, walking/biking trails around the downtown, interactive art, and more! The drawings will be on display at the Jackson County Visitor Center till the end of the month and will be on display on the Seymour Main Street website later this week.
Please feel free to view the drawings/concepts and give feedback as the Main Street board and director will be working to move forward and possibly apply for a grant in 2018 and would like your feedback on the ideas that were presented.
